Marcelle Healy has been in the field of education for 22 years, serving in various positions throughout her career, including Adjunct Professor, Elementary and Secondary School Principal, Behavior Specialist, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Coordinator, Learning Specialist, and ESE Educator. Throughout this time, she has focused her career working with deaf and hard of hearing students, as well as students with dual sensory impairments, behavioral challenges, and intellectual disabilities, ranging in age from birth to post-graduate. Ms. Healy positively looks back at the experiences she had while teaching at the South Carolina School for Deaf and Blind. She is extremely passionate about creating a learning environment that educates the whole student. Her philosophy is that all students can learn to high levels. She believes building relationships within the school community is the foundation of each student's success. Ms. Healy enjoys horseback riding and, in the past, has spent her spare time as a therapeutic horseback riding instructor.
